Bibbity Bobbity Boo All Your Meal Planning Dreams Come True + Clean BBQ Sauce Recipe
Back to school means, back to routine! Time to live up to a summer of over indulgence of ice cream cones and drinks with fancy umbrellas (although I could go for one of each right about now). Time to get back on track, mentally, and physically.
Many people make New Year’s resolutions in January. However, I’ve always felt like September was the month to make significant changes happen. September for me is always about getting back on track and diving into a new routine with sharp focus and drive.
Let’s talk about meal planning.
Alright, I will be honest, I’ve always struggled with meal planning. I can give you my thousands of reasons why, but that won’t help either of us.
Bibbity Bobbity Boo
If I had a magic wand, I’d dreamed of an online tool that produced meal plans for my family based on our needs and tastes.
I’d ask for it to populate serving sizes based on the size of my family or more.
If only it would have a grocery list that I could check off what I have on hand and magically it would email its self to me!
Now that would be my dream!
Guess what?
I found what all of us women dream of, and you won’t believe how affordable it is!

Cleaned Up BBQ Sauce Recipe
Since harvest season is here, I wanted to share That Clean Life (must have on-hand) clean up BBQ sauce I’ve been smothering all over meats and even corn this season.
Directions are simple. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, stir together all the following ingredients and bring to a boil.
8 tbsps. Tomato Paste | 1 cup Water | 6 tbsps. Maple Syrup | 1/8 cup Fancy Molasses | 3 tbsps. Apple Cider Vinegar | 1/2 tsp Cinnamon | 3 tsp Cumin | 2 tsp Paprika | 1 tsp Onion Powder | 1 tsp Garlic Powder | 1 tsp Black Pepper | 1 tsp Sea Salt | 1/2 tsp Ground Mustard | 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer to a jar and let cool. Enjoy!
- 6-serving recipe yields about 1.5 cups of sauce.
- For a thinner sauce add water (1 tbsp. at a time) until desired consistency reached.
- Refrigerate in a mason jar up to 7 days. If freezing, leave about 1-inch of head space from the top.
This recipe BBQ sauce recipe is:
- Healthier than store bought
- Simple and rewarding
- Finger licking good
- Kid approved
- You can name all the ingredients in it
- Flavored the way you like it – add maple syrup, chili spices, and hot peppers to switch it up.
- Travels well
- Can be used as a dip, or marinade
