What to do on Family Day 2016 in the Toronto Area? Kidapalooza Family Festival in Markham!

In Ontario 2008, the government deemed Family Day a public statutory holiday. Which falls on the third Monday of February each year. Family Day is one of my favourite holidays. The title alone says it all – Family Day. A day or weekend in which you spend quality, mindful days as a family. A reason to breath in the fresh winter air, or spend your day at a local family festival and rid your days of the February winter blues.

Actually, I think society could benefit from one day a month deemed Family Day. Could you imagine how much that would mean to our children? To have one day a month to look forward to that is their day with their family. A day spent without electronics, laughing and playing together. We could all benefit from a Family Day each month.

That to me sounds like memories we all would hold on to forever.
