LEX – The Lindsay Exhibition {2012 Re-Cap} #KawarthaLakes
Summer is creeping to an end which means small towns across Ontario are gearing up for Fall Fairs, tractor pulls and demo derby’s. Locals are picking their unique crops or making homemade jams for judging. Prize cattle are practicing their walk to be tagged with first place ribbons. Kids are counting down the days till cotton candy, midway rides that will build a long-lasting memory.
Last year we got our Fall Fun Fair on at LEX – The Lindsay Exhibition in Kawartha Lakes which is the most recognized and memorable fall fairs in Ontario. This is true. Hubby’s great grandpa would drive to Lindsay from Northern Ontario which today takes us a 6 hr car ride, back then it would have been a few days trip. That being said LEX is also my favorite and the biggest Ontario Fall Fair I personally have been to. You could jam pack one day in there and still come back tomorrow and jam pack another.
Elephants, Lions, Monster Truck Rides, Mike The Knight and more…. Check out LEX this September.
What is your favorite Fall Fair memory?
Thanks for reading In R Dream!
This is our local fair, and it’s fantastic to see it loved and promoted by someone who doesn’t even live in the area! Our girls are already getting geared up for it, and it’s still weeks away;. Thanks for sharing!
I love seeing the excitement in town starting to evolve.
We absolutely love Fall fairs – the small town varieties. I can’t wait for our local one at the end of September.
Very cool!! With DH working out there we might just have to take a peek! 🙂
I love Exhibitions as well. I remember going on rides with my Dad and tug of wars!
I love the fall fair, I don’t have a specific memory I like the most but I do just love the whole experience! The smells, the rides, the games…so much fun.
