Making “Remember When’s” #LEX #KawarthaLakes

As a child there are many simple gestures or efforts that your parents do that make a huge impact on your life. When a mother and father smile when their child walks in the room. Simple little gesture that can make your child feel confident, loved and cherished.

A little chat and story before bed will give a child the chance to share something that is weighing on them. Just the other day Miss C said “Mommy I like when you snuggle me in and we can talk.” When she is a teenager and life is throwing curve balls I will be thankful that I have taken these moments now to build on for what is coming.

Talking time to make memories will be remembered when’s” when they grow old. Looking back on my childhood and the “remember when’s” few stand clear. One that is strong in mind is riding the Salt and Pepper shaking at our local fair each year. Today every-time we drive by our Fall Fair our children flip through “remember when’s” with us. This tells me that much like my childhood, memories made at our traditional hot spot each Fall are memories worth making.
