Do you think much about your bones?
Just because you cannot see them doesn’t mean you don’t need to take care of them. Did you know 2 million Canadians are affected by Osteoporosis? It’s never too early to start thinking about your bone health! 1 in 3 women will suffer from a osteoporotic fracture during their lifetime; those number shocked me. Uneducated myself about Osteoporosis I did a little research. Read further for supplements to support bone health.
But first, Osteoporosis Canada says it best:
I couldn’t imagine my life being slowed down because of Osteoporosis. Hand in hand once our children are grown and moved out my husband and I plan on traveling the world. Osteoporosis would shatter our dreams, goals and ambitions.
So I decided to check my osteoporosis risk. Click here to check your osteoporosis risk.
What did it tell me? Well, it seems I’m a high risk of getting Osteoporosis, not the answer I wanted to hear. My next question is, how can I prevent getting Osteoporosis?
After researching I’m not sure you can 100% prevent Osteoporosis. It’s caused by many things including but not limited too: family history of osteoporosis, thyroid disease, excessive use of coffee, alcohol, smoking or drug use, a lack of calcium intake and other vitamin or mineral deficiencies. I was surprised to learn that Hormones can also affect your bone health. After menopause estrogen levels decrease breaking down bones. For years I’ve been struggling with keeping my Hormones level and juggling early thyroid disease and never once did I have Osteoporosis on my radar.
Bone Health Support is critical for all men and women.
Three Supplements To Support Bone Health
- Orange Naturals is my go-to for all my supplement needs. They make professional quality, naturopathic health products that are convenient to use and easy to understand. Keep your bones in top shape with adequate dosage of vitamin D, K, and magnesium, among other ingredients with Orange Naturals Bone Health Advanced.
- Did you know? Vitamin D3 and K2 are critical for regulating calcium in the body. Orange Naturals Vitamin D3 K2 softgel tablets help reduce the risk of osteoporosis and also maintain muscle and dental health.
- The Orange Naturals Women ND Shake is my daily nutritional dense multivitamin vitamin in a glass. With the addition of calcium all you need is one shake a day to support bone health.
I have to admit before writing this post I never thought about my bones. And I couldn’t even count on cows dairy to help me keep them strong because I haven’t consumed cow’s dairy in over three years. Osteoporosis isn’t something I thought about but it sure is something I will be trying to prevent moving forward. My dreams will not be compromised because I didn’t try to prevent Osteoporosis. I do have my ND Shake and Orange Naturals D3 Drops on hand but I’ll be stocking up on a few more supplements to support bone health.
