Packing for Italy: Why I am Taking These With Me
Lately, Google has been my BFF. I’ve been asking Google everything from where to eat when in Rome to what type of bathing suit to wear on the beaches of Puglia. Because Wednesday, hubby and I are off to Italy to celebrate 20 blissful years of togetherness and 14 years of marriage!
Based on my finds here is what I am packing for Italy.
Gelato In Italy
I’ve learned that Gelato is pretty much consumed daily in Italy. Since I have a weakness for creamy, icy desserts, I plan on indulging like the Italians do. Two or more flavours of Gelato in a waffle cone, please!
My plan: to eat Gelato daily. My Solution: run daily. I mean what else is there to do during siesta while everyone else in Italy is napping?
Here are the sneakers we are packing for Italy. Skechers Go Step for her and a pair of Skechers Flex Advantage 2.0 Missing Link for him. What we love about Skechers shoes is they are extremely lightweight and hug every curve of your feet. The pairs we choose to bring will quickly naturally, with our everyday outfits while touring Rome since they are simple and neutral colours. Plus, they will look sharp paired with sweatpants running through Rome.
Since we are talking about running, I have to share with you the sports bra I will be packing for Italy. I am in love. Not only does the red colour grab my heart, everything about wearing Anita Momentum Sports Bra gets me excited. I am large breasted. So when I workout I like to keep movement in all places to a minimum. Allowing me to focus on the exercise rather than the juggle is paramount to my success.
When I wear Anita Momentum Sports Bra, my breasts don’t move an inch. No matter how high I jump, they stay put. Since I have neck and shoulder problems I’ve alway get pains with racer style backs on my sports bras. Anita Momentum Sports Bra uses traditional bra straps which don’t put all that extra weight on my neck.
Shopping In Italy
Everyone I’ve talked to that has been to Italy says that shopping is a must. My husband thinks we could skip the shopping part of Italy but whose he kidding we have to hit up the shops.
Which means I need a bag that can do double duty when in Italy. I fell in love with Tom Canada Cayenne Multi Stripe Traveler for more that the fun multi colours that scream international. But because for every bag purchased, TOMS will help provide a safe birth for a mother and baby in need.
Tom Canada Cayenne Multi Stripe Traveler can be a carry-on, beach bag in Puliga and shopping bag when in Rome.
Staying Connected In Italy
Are four children are staying home in Canada with their grandparents while we embark on a dream vacation to celebrate our 20 years together. Our emotions are mixed, and the only way we can make this happen is by staying connected back in Canada.
We’ve got our TELUS Roam Easy plan in place. And Monster Products Canada will help us keep everything charged and crystal clear to talk to our children back home.
To make staying connected as smooth as possible bringing along a Monster Mobile® PowerCard Turbo™ Portable Battery is a must. What I like about it is the sleek design and that it will offer up 5 + hours of portable energy. It will also help me ease my mind that if the kids need us at all, our phone will always have power.
After a long day of snapping pictures of landmarks dating back to as early as the 8th century BC the Monster Mobile Outlets To Go 200, Global Adapter will be handy to converting AC outlets from Italy to Canada. Keeping all our technology powered on.
With a long plane ride ahead of us we need headsets that offer Maximum noise isolation, so we are bringing along a pair of ROC Sports SuperSlim Wireless In-Ear Headphones. They have everything you would dream of in earbuds, wireless Bluetooth, personalized ear tips for comfort and more.
In white for a fresh, clean look, I know my ClarityHD High-Performance Wireless Earbuds will help me cut out all background sound on the long plane ride ahead.
Comfort In Italy
Google tells me Italians have style. Which has made me continue to ponder what type of clothing to pack? I won’t look like an Italian. Naturally, my lack of Italian words and hand gestures will quickly give me away. So I’ve come to the conclusion that pairing my favorite pair of Raffinalla leggings many different ways will help me keep casual or dressy when I need them to be. My daughter helped me with these picks.
Raffinalla leggings are the perfect fit pant. They are incredibly flattering, smooth every curve, I embrace myself and feel two sizes smaller when I am strutting around in my made in Montreal pants. These were the first thing I packed into my bag. I definitely need to invest in every colour of their lineup.
Since having four back to back children, I haven’t owned a bikini. Although I’ve been working very hard on my mid-section, it still jiggles in places. I am confident in my own skin and stand tall but at the same time flaunting my stretch marks has never been a thought of mine.
Google tells me Italians don’t care what size they are, or if they have stretch marks or not. When on the beach they love to absorb the sun. So I am packing the Eleonore Bikini set from Rosa Faia.
The underwire bikini top in the Florianopolis series will hold everyone into place. New this season the Eleonore Bikini set from Rosa Faia colours will pair well with the beautiful waves on the coast of Italy southern heel.
Long Days In Italy
Google tells me Italians live a lifestyle where dinner is enjoyed after the sun sets. Which means I will need to refresh in order to eat dinner at the same time I typically go to bed back home in Canada.
I am all about natural products, and Sibu does them right. Made of Sea Berry (sea buckthorn) extracted high in the Himalayas, Sibu is using traditional ingredients that date back to 1300 years.
Soft, simple with a light, fresh smell of citrus, Sibu will be just what I need to refresh after a long day touring Italy’s historical cities.
I don’t leave home without my Tangle Teezer’s Compact Styler. It is perfect for traveling as it is palm size and comes with its own cover to protect the bristles. Simple, perfect and something I always have on hand.
Loving Wet n’ Wild MegaVolume and it’s a must-pack to help me keep my look simple when in Rome.
Thanks to Google and Instagram I am daydreaming my days away about the food we will eat, the places we will see and the tours we will discover, when in Rome!

I am so jealous of your trip. Italy is my dream destination. Congrats on 20 years together! That bra sounds awesome and turns out there’s a store just a few blocks away that sells it so I am definitely going to check it out.
Congrats on 20 years! What a great way to celebrate. Hope you have many awesome adventures.
have a wonderful trip!
I would totally be bringing my Skechers, too! Most comfy shoes for travelling! The compact styler is great also. And I love those ClarityHD High-Performance Wireless Earbuds!
You cannot go wrong with sketchers for comfort. And that portable Monster looks super handy! I think you’ve done some smart packing.
I need that bra. I have so much trouble finding s good bra for working out. Some of them just sort of pinch or if you do floor work on your abs the clasp hits your spine and hurts. I hate that. I will look for this one. Have a great trip! I am traveling again soon too. I will add some of these items to my list for sure. I do need some better runners too. Mine are so old. Also when we zip lines together as a family in Val Des Monts, Quebec I rewarded everyone with ice cream after the four hours of climbing and zip lining so what should happen of course? One daughter dropped her chocolate ice cream on my shoe. Now I have a big chocolate stain on my runner that reminds me of our adventure. Lol! Have a great trip!
Eeeek! I cannot wait to follow along on your adventure!
Some great picks there! Love all the things you are packing. can’t wait to follow along on your travels!
