Over the years I have spent a lot of time focusing on calming my mind. For numerous reasons, one being that I haven’t always had self-control over my mind, in other words patience’s has not always been my strong suit. No one is perfect and I knew where my weakness was. Calming my mind started many years ago and I am not sure when or how I took mental acknowledgement of it to build on my future success. You may have heard the saying “Mind over Matter!” I have always been a believer of it and that little saying has helped me climb out of mild depression when my first child started full-time school. Thank heavens for the strength and endurance I had to believe in those 3 words so many moons ago.
Today, I have strengthen my mind and taken control over my mind. I am a firm believer that practice has help me grow to achieve the calm state I was after so many years ago. We all have those emotional days and I am not saying I am cured of those natural reactions to life’s hiccups but I am saying I have the tools to control how I react to them and that is a beautiful feeling for me personally to feel.
How to Achieve a Calm Mind with Muse.
Recently, I have started to use a tool to help me detect my brain signals, like a heart monitor senses your heart. Muse gives me valuable real-time feedback, personalized data after each session on your smart device, so that I can track and improve over time.
The first time I heard of Muse I knew I needed to give it a try. As a person who has been working on brain fitness for many years, I knew Muse would help me visually see my brain’s performance, which in turn would assist me to enhance my mental skills for further mental successes.
I will be honest even with my meditation training and mindfulness that I complete daily, getting into the habit of using Muse was hard at first. Finding quiet alone time for a mom of four is a struggle on its own, but adding a tool to it, just made it that much more of a process to squeeze in.
I have been squeezing in my Muse sessions in the morning before our four children are awake. This has allowed me to start my day in pure calmness. Since, I have been taking care of myself first, I can take better care of my children after. I have started to feeling gravitated to use Muse daily to achieve more calmness, data and growth to my every day. Today, Muse is a natural part of my day and has become a habit of my morning.
“Sow a thought, and you reap an act;
Sow an act, and you reap a habit;
Sow a habit, and you reap a character;
Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.” ― Samuel Smiles
My last few sessions are proof that with hard work and determination a calm mind is only a Muse away.
“Muse has taken my brain fitness to the next level. Muse has given me the tools to visually see the positive successes I have been achieving through my meditation and mindful moments alone daily. As a busy mom of four I look forward to continuing my growth with Muse over the summer when the kids will be home and mentally use my new found control over stress when a mama needs it most.”
