Gail Vaz-Oxlade Money Rules Money Rules

The beginning of the month I shared that I was taking part in a Family Financial Challenge through my P&G mom ambassadorship. We were gifted Gail Vaz-Oxlade’s book Money Rules and put to the challenge. I must say when I first seen Gail Vaz-Oxlade’s book I was a bit intimated by the size, with just over 500 pages Money Rules is a thicker book then I would typically take on. But once I started to flip through the pages I found it very quick to read. Gail Vaz-Oxlade has laid Money Rules out in such a way that you can quickly read a few of her 261 money tip rules a few times a day and still be interested in reading more tomorrow.

Through out the month fellow P&G mom’s that are taking part as tweeting or posting using the hashtag #SavingMadeSimple sharing money-saving tips along the way. I have been having a lot of fun looking for ways to share my finds with you my readers. Here are a few picture’s I have shared on Instagram and Twitter through out this month.

Update.

I will admit this month I have found it difficult to full commit this month. I could complain, but in all honestly after reading Gail Vaz-Oxlade’s book Money Rules I have learned it is my money my choice. As we gear towards the end of the financial challenge I am looking at money with a new set of eyes. It takes a lot to earn, my husband and I work hard together, we need to track and count EVERY penny if we are  going to seceded. There is a new fire under my butt and that is thanks to Gail Vaz-Oxlade’s book Money Rules.

This week’s challenge was Family Fun!

This weekend in Ontario we celebrated Family Day a day off that is to be spent enjoying Family! ( I wish we had a Family day each quarter.) It was the prefect day to get outside and play in the snow with the kids. Building a snow fort, starting a snowball fight or even tubing at the local hill. Time together doesn’t have to cost money, it is about building the memories and enjoy the giggles. We have made great use this week to do just that and it was Family fun!

  • Hi Tammy
Gail’s book sounds PACKED! I gave myself a personal challenge for this WHOLE year to do thrifting!! This means buying as much as I can second hand before running out and buying new…quite the challenge let me tell you! But beneficial in the saving $$ area and the cutting back on mindless consumption and buying habits I have carelessly made. I’ll keep ya posted…and please share more tips as you can! Xoxo
