Date Night Happens or it Doesn’t #NaturallyAtHome with Orange Naturals

Date Night Happens or it Doesn’t #NaturallyAtHome with Orange Naturals

It happens.

Before Christmas hubby surprised me with a babysitter (his parents thank you) for an overnight sleep over for all four children. This was the first time in over 6 months we would have all four children spend the night away from us. All four! That really is a big deal in our house. He planned the prefect night, dinner at The Keg, shopping, dessert and back home to a quiet house. It was a wonderful evening of peace and quiet. We woke up talked about what we did before kids because our morning seemed so selfish without them. Then I called to see how they were.

Oh no…

Poor King was up all night throwing up. Gramma was a champ and didn’t want to bother us on our date and never called for help. I felt so guilty. We rushed over to the rescue as soon as possible. It was day one of a long week ahead, where are whole family of six took turns hosting the flu. Our date was over and back to reality we went.

This was not the first time we have had something similar happen along the way. Maybe that is why we no longer ask for a babysitter to come in for date night’s because something always jumps in the way, oh so it seems.

Our prefect date night, Sushi.

With times between date night so few and far between we have come to accept that staying in probably is the best way to go about it. It avoids headaches and juggling children between house’s and keeping mine spotless for a babysitter to come in.

We have about two date night’s a month now from the comfort of home. We snuggle our four kids into bed early and dial-up our local sushi restaurant who know us by name now. With chop sticks in hand, candles lite, the fire roaring, the kids in bed we throw on a movie and from the comfort of our PJ’s we enjoy a prefect date night in.

What I didn’t know then.

That is what I love about life, you are always learning as you go. As an Orange Natural’s Mom I have recently learned about all the natural options available for my family when we orange-naturals-mom-are feeling down such as Digestion + Appetite for Kids, Probiotic Toddler to Teen and Cough + Cold for Kids. These products assist me along the way to keeping my children healthy and happy.

On the Orange Naturals blog they share 3 Simple Immune-Boosting Lifestyle Habits written by Cecilia a Naturopathic Doctor. Getting hydrated is where I really struggle, but it is my personal goal to make this a priority for my family. When date night does happen I will be armed with the tools to make it reality, because I have learned something new.

  • I’m going to look into it for my family too. I hate when they are sick and would love to be able to boost their health in a positive and safe way!

  • Sushi! Our fave! We love ordering in sometimes too and just enjoying by the fireplace.
Date nights don’t come often here because of our schedule but it’s very healthy for marriages (and for your sanity!) 🙂

  • Oh date night – how I miss thee! I totally understand the feeling of wanting to have the house to yourselves 😉 Grandma sounds like a saint!! I think I should pick up some Orange Naturals to have at home. It seems that someone is always sick this time of year!

  • YAY for date night!!! We haven’t had one in over a year… I’m so looking forward to one soon!

I’ve just started looking into natural remedies. I’ve never heard of Orange Naturals, I’m going to look into it! Thanks so much for sharing!

  • When it’s me? I suck it up and power through (date night never happens in this house), but if it’s my kid – I cancel everything and stay at home 🙂

There is nothing wrong with doing “date night” at home, it’s just nice to get out of the house every so often.
