“Let’s Go to The LEX! ” #KawarthaLakes Experience
Fall is in the air, leafs are changing and the first week of back to school has been a success. Now it is time to plan your Fall weekends, before you know it Christmas will be over taking the season and a New Year will be creeping in. Maybe your families Fall tradition is Apple Picking or a road trip to watch Canada’s beauty unfold as the colours change from gold to red. In between those families traditions we hold our family also take’s a trip to our local Fall Fair, LEX.
Carnival Rides and Derby Cars attract us every-time. But LEX is not your typical small town fair. Elephants, Tigers, Horses and Sheep are a few animals you will meet. My favorite memory from LEX has to be climbing in the back of a real Monster Truck and off roading through a muddy obstacle of hills and S-turns. If you follow inRdream.com you’d already know I have a thing for trucks, the bigger the better. With the real “Monster Jam” experience for only $5 a person I get the thrill each year.

Our family enjoys entering the Homecraft and Junior Division Competitions at the LEX.
One of our favourite memories was when my daughter won the Honey poster contest and the winners of the 1st place honey were so impressed that they gave her a jar of their prize winning honey.
Although the poster and honey are long gone, it has ben a sweet lasting memory!

We just like the petting zoos and rides at our local fall fair… no elephants here either 🙂

Very neat. I never heard for the LEX before. Fall is my favourite time of the year. I love apple picking with the kids and going for long drives to watch the fall colours.

LEX is not your typical fair. Yes the Bowmanville Zoo brings animals in such as an elephant. They do rides too, she is a beautiful animal.
