For A Limited Time Take-Off Around The World With McTasters

We asked ourselves that last fall and my husband and I flew away on a dream vacation to Italy to celebrate 20 years together. Our dream was always to eat our way through Italy, and we did just that. Pizza, Gelato, Pasta, Wine, Olives, Cheese, you name it we ate it.

Food Inspires

Besides for our love of exploring, adventure and touching history the reason we travel is to eat local flavors. Letting our taste buds explore the unknown.

Whether you’re off to Jamaica to indulge on the spicy flavors of Jerk or Mexico to eat authentic Mexican food – taking the first bite into a new recipe is a welcoming invitation to explore a little more in your mind, body and with your taste buds.

Since our family cannot hop on a plane as frequently as we’d like, I use food as our travel guide when we cannot physically take-off. Recreating our favorite flavors in the kitchen takes me back to the warm beaches of the Caribbean, or wherever it is, I feel like going that evening.

If Greece is where you’d like to be, then food can take you there. The moment you take a mindful bit into a Gyro or dip into Tzatziki sauce is pure bliss. Or a long lingering sip of Italian wine reminds me of that day my husband and I spent on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea during our Italian Road Trip stop in Leuca.

Our kids favourite McTaster is the new Thai Sweet Chili Chicken.

A juicy Junior Chicken patty topped with crisp Asian Veggie mix, cucumber, creamy McChicken sauce and spicy Thai sauce served on a toasted baguette bun. It’s not over the top spicy, and even my kids who don’t favour spicy said it was their new favorite menu item at McDonald’s. The perfect combo of sweet, spicy, crunchy all sandwiched between the perfect baguette.

My taste buds enjoy taking off with the new French Dijon McTaster Burger.

A juicy 100% Canadian regular beef patty topped with a creamy Dijon Mustard sauce, crispy onions, crisp leaf lettuce and grilled onions; all served on a toasted, baguette bun. The mustard and onion flavors just take me away with each bite, and the fresh toasted baguette bun puts me into carb heaven.

McDonald’s new McTasters Mid-Tier Value Sandwiches and priced at $2.99; which is a big flavor bang for your buck at McDonald’s. We may have already indulged on the new McTasters three times since the limited time burger was released on August 29th. They are that good!
