Let’s Talk Decluttering: #VarageSale Twitter Party This Week!
Cheers you’re done with the baby stage, the swing, playpen and stroller are finally collecting dust. The old freezer you picked up from grandma is too small for your growing family. The collections of Wii games your kids have outgrown are just taking up space. The second hand furniture you once cherished in your starter home is no longer the style you want your home to speak. Maybe you lost 30lbs and it is time to sell off your loose pants for something form fitting?
Can you relate to any of those?
Alright, they all speak to me. I am ready to sell my loose pants and the pile of cutter that has been shoved into the garage and closets for me to one day sell. Heck, I’d like to make some cash and build on my new form fitting fall wardrobe. Plus by decluttering, I know my head space will be clear and free of clutter, leaving me to be more mindful and calm.
The problem is, I am not up to wasting long hours of downloading pictures and narrowing through the chatter and emails I know I will be receiving to complete strangers.
Thanks to Tami who like me is a mom who found selling stuff online to be at a pain.
Tami found a solution to a problem and like any entrepreneur she problem solved till she made her dream come true. Her daydreaming created VarageSale. Which is a platform where local and interest based groups form communities to buy, sell and hangout. Members of the groups list items for sale, comment on them and discuss whether they want to purchase.
I sold my first item with VarageSale just last week and pocketed $125. The upload was quick and because VarageSale is app based, my picture went directly to my posting and within minutes my first item was live and ready to sell in my local community. You can bump your posts to the top of the feed with a simple click. Since everything is done through the VarageSale app on my smartphone it saves me time and we all know these days the importance of time.

Thank you for reading In R Dream!
I have to check out this site!
Varagesale is so great I’ve been off all summer because I work for the pdsb and varagesale has helped me make sales but also afford great deals from people I trust and have gone back to for numerous items. It’s fun buy also helps me get rid of things I no longer need. And while not working this summer.. the money helps. More awareness and social media buzz about it can only help the site even more in out reaching further to people in Ontario and in everyone’s local areas.
Kate so happy to read you are a lover of VarageSale! I hope to get more uploaded this fall!
I have been using this app too Tammy especially since it just recently launched in London, Ontario too. I love how simple it is to use and I enjoy having options!
Oh. My. Gosh. You are my new hero! I am downsizing madly and was ready to just throw it all out and donate it all (which would be a big loss of money on my end) but seriously. Who has time for all that pic taking, uploading, blah blah blah. I can’t wait to try this! Thank you!!!!
YAY Leila I am so happy to be here to help! So did you get any bites?
