Thanks Kids! I am Tucking In My 40 lb Gift

A Gift in a new form.

Before my first baby, over 9 years ago I had no clue the roller coaster of a ride I would be on with my body from that moment on. My fit size 4 frame disappeared quickly and I hunted it down for years. Then another baby, another 10 lbs hung on, a third baby and another 10 lbs hung on and finally the fourth baby and my new normal was 40 lbs heavier than I started. That 40 lbs never shifted and I accepted it, a 10 lbs gift from each of my four children. I took it positively and thanked them for the gift, well deep down inside I was not comfortable with my new body, who would be?

Giving up time and time again, purging everything that said small and moving on and welcoming the double digits which quickly became my new normal size. Pants never came up high enough to cover my c-section shelf and all I wanted to wear were the maternity pants that tucked it all in. Working out became history because with 4 kids under 5, I had no time to even brush my hair let alone exercise.

It gets easier.

Let’s fast forward to today…. thank goodness I can finally brush my hair and our youngest is off to full-time kindergarten in the Fall. That all means that after 9.5 years at home with my children, mommy found “me time” and has put her health front and center.

If you have been following along on my healthy journey you would know I have identified my toxic trigger foods and feel fantastic! My skin is glowing, my energy is restored, my patience’s and focus is better than I ever imagined. My healthy journey started in October and since than I have lost 30 lbs – my gift from three of my boys and I have squeezed my butt into a size I never thought I’d see again.

Lola Jeans review, The High rise Skinny jean, Stretch jeans, jeans for curves

Size is just a number, and over the years I learnt and accepted that. When I found an outfit or jeans that fit right, I felt like a million dollars no matter what size was on them.

Lola Jeans Review

Recently, I was introduced to Lola Jeans whose motto is “Embrace your curves, beauty isn’t defined by the size of your jeans.” Well I have to admit even though I can squeeze myself into a size 6 or 4 depending the brand, it doesn’t mean my c-section shelf or belly has disappeared. I still look for and count on jeans that reach above my hips to tuck it all in. Lola Jeans do just that. They tuck where I need them too.

Why weren’t the high-rise skinny jeans back in style years ago? I remember saying they should make pull on jeans for women after they become mothers. Well thanks to the creators of Lola Jeans size doesn’t matter and they know everyone comes in different shapes.

With Lola Jeans you will feel comfortable wearing pull on jeans, high-rise jeans, denim that fits like your favorite pair of joggers and the best part is Lola Jeans flex with your body. So when you are playing with the kids, chasing them or swinging on the swing, your jeans will not restrict your movement.

For play, work or date night out, Lola Jeans can be dressed up or down to suit your playful style. I choose Melissa- MSB with a 10″ high rise in skinny jeans and they give me confidence that everything that needs to be is tucked in, is tucked in, even after losing 30 lbs.
