First Birthday Party Ideas: Ultimate Around the World with Little People #FisherPrice

Planning for the big day.

I will never forget our children’s first birthday parties. I was planning months in advance, dreaming up the big day they would turn from baby to toddler. The guest list was always full with friends and family and all the little people we met on playdates. It was also mandatory that I make the cake from scratch and since my decorating skills were never creative daddy would spin his talent on the final pieces. I would have lists about my lists and every details would not go untouched.

Your babies first birthday is an extremely special days in the lives of parents a page to a bigger chapter in your story. When I was choosing a theme for our children’s first birthday I just went to the store and bought up whatever theme they had on the shelf and went with it. But today you don’t need to stick inside the box with your babies first birthday party because thinking outside the box is so much more fun. Plus it will leave an imprint with your guest for the years to come.

Little People First Birthday Party Ideas

I was so impressed when I heard that Fisher-Price has enlisted the help of one of Toronto’s most sought after kids’ party planners to make sure the little ones’ important first milestone is the talk of the playgroup!

Nancy Zaretsky, party planner extraordinaire of My Perfect Party Inc. and mom of three, is here to show every mom and dad the easy way to produce a party like a pro. I was challenged to recreate a few of Nacny’s birthday party ideas. Although I am not an amateur when it comes to party planning due to having four children. In my eyes party planning is not my strong suit and tip and ideas  like Nancy’s will make me shine the next time around.

The Ultimate Around the World First Birthday Party Ideas

After browsing through littlepeoplefirstbirthday.ca I fell in love with The Ultimate Around the World First Birthday Party. Although I think this party could be worked into any age. I threw together a few suggestions Nancy shared on the littlepeoplefirstbirthday.ca it took me a few hours in prep work throughout the day and I had a great looking birthday party to brag about.

Sky’s the Limit Backdrop

The first star of the show was twisting Nancy’s suggestion on a making a backdrop for the table. I decided to instead make a backdrop for the play area. Along with Nancy’s backdrop for the food table I thought this was a brilliant idea to capture pictures of the little ones playing. Which in turn will make every picture, perfect!

For my backdrop I used blue wrapping paper for the sky. I thought since white drawer liners had adhesive on the back they would make perfect clouds for my sky. I found both at the dollar store.

Fueling Station

Edible Wheelies

Just like adults kids eat with their eyes and these edible wheelies are so tempting to dig into for the little ones.

I have already had requests from the kids to make these for their school lunches. One apple made 10 cars and the perfect little snack for a rainy day too.

Nuts and Bolts

Nancy really impressed me with some of these ideas. Instead of bowls she suggests using a map and making cones to add your nuts and bolts treat to. I bought a map at the dollar store and made these cones in less than 15 minutes. They are perfect for little fingers to hold and they add a new element to party time. The possibilities are endless you could use anything in place of the map and snack inside. I am thinking this would be great for movie night filled with popcorn too!

Cloud Parfait

When I seen these Cloud Parfaits I knew the kids would love them. It was as simple as setting Jello and adding whip cream. Since clouds come in all shapes and sizes there was no need for perfection.
