You have all heard of the word re-gift, right?

Re-gift – to give (a gift one has received) to someone else.

I will admit I have re-gifted a time or two. Sometimes you just don’t get a gift that maybe you will use or something in duplicate that you already have. I really never want to hurt anyone feelings and personally I think re-gifting is fine. Hey, if I buy something you don’t want please if your not going to tell me re-gift it. However, with re-gifting come some rules of etiquette and Canadian Living gives you 8 steps to re-gifting if you aren’t sure if re-gifting the Christmas Cake Aunt Beth gave you is in good etiquette.

What about re-gifting an old electronic you have kicking around? In today’s world pretty much as soon as you get the newest and latest gadget something else is new and great. Right now I have a basket full of kid’s tablets and old Smartphone’s that really aren’t old, but we have upgraded. I have never once thought about re-gifting them to someone who doesn’t have a tablet or a smartphone.

  • We always pass down our old cells whenever possible for someone else to upgrade, or some times you can trade them in when getting a new device.

  • yes it is! If you don’t know anyone who would be pleased to get an older phone/tablet etc then recycle. As you mentioned there bits and pieces in them that would be collected and reused.
