Day Out with Thomas July in St Thomas Ontario
All three boys in our house all went through the “Thomas the Train” stage. It was Thomas all the time, all day. Little O is 3 and he is smack in the middle of his “Thomas the Train” stage. It’s adorable, it’s all he requests to watch on Netflix and when he see’s Thomas in the store I get the sweetest little “PPPLLLEASSSSSE Mommy!”
It’s been a few years since I have seen Day Out with Thomas through my social streams, each year it is after the fact and my mommy guilt would sink in. This year, I was on the ball and had Thomas on the mind. Plus one reader will WIN a family of four set of tickets to catch Day Out with Thomas in St Thomas, Ontario too!
Day Out With Thomas
This fun-filled event offers little engineers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas & Friends® series, meet Sir Topham Hatt®, Controller of the Railway and enjoy a day of Thomas-themed activities including arts & crafts, storytelling and more. The tour, now in its 19th year, will make stops in 42 U.S. and four Canadian cities and is expected to welcome nearly one million passengers in 2014.
WHAT:
- A 25-minute (approximate) ride with Thomas the Tank Engine and hear Thomas greet his fans!
- Meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway
- A Thomas & Friends Imagination Station; featuring stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts & crafts, train tables, and coloring sheets.
- Storytelling, video viewing, live children’s entertainment featuring music, juggling & puppets
- bubbles, Island of Sodor hay bale maze, Misty Island cool mist tents, inflatable bouncers, model railway displays, and a small animal petting farm from Farmtown Canada and more!
- Event tickets also include free admission to the Elgin County Railway Museum.

My son talks Thomas day and night. Awake asleep. He has a train table at home and grandma’s. He has a “craft tote” full of trains. He knows every train, even black and white. Had three beds for home and grandparents houses. Clothes, books, wall decals, shoes, boots, kitchen plates, scooter. Plus more. He’s loved Thomas since he was old enough to know he loved Thomas. He’s three and his obsession to Thomas is still going strong.
I would love to win this. We love train rides and my son loves Thomas. He is very calm and happy on trains. 🙂

My sons love playing trains “together”. The baby can just stand at the table, and loves pulling the trains apart. He is so excited to play with his big brother. Santa brought the Thomas table last year… he loves playing with his Thomas train.

My little guy is three and has LOVED Thomas for two years now! We read Thomas, watch Thomas, build our Thomas train set daily! In fact, thanks to Thomas, he was able to learn his colours and numbers (ex. Thomas is the BLUE engine, he’s the number ONE engine)!
I could not imagine his amazement and wonder if he were to see Thomas (and friends) in person, let alone take a ride on him!!!! What a wonderful opportunity and a memory that would last forever!!!
It is great when you can teach them through something they naturally love, like Thomas the Train.
