Beating Brown Bag Blues With Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations

Today guest review is from a dear friend of mine, Jessica. Jessica is a busy mom of a toddler who keeps her on her toes, she is also expecting her second baby in July and works 4 days a week  in an office. With her love of food and busy schedule I knew she would be a perfect for this opportunity.

Beating the brown bag blues is something that even parents struggle with packing school lunches, I remember telling my mom as a child no more P&J sandwiches ‘PLEASE’. Now I find myself sending the same boring sandwiches with my children. But what about your brown bag lunches now that you are all grown up? You deserve more than a P&J sandwich, right?

Jessica’s Review

We tried 2 flavours: Mediterranean Chicken and Thai Chicken.

The Mediterranean Chicken was the hit at our house! Mediterranean sounds fancy, but it was a comforting, yummy blend of penne pasta, veggies, chicken and herbs.

Coming from an Italian household, we found the flavour was familiar and delicious!

The Thai Chicken entree was more of an adventure for us and it was a pleasant surprise of tangy, citrus and sweetness with the rice, chicken and veggies.

I really enjoyed this flavour and would choose this entree when in the mood for something new and different.

To sum up the taste experience, these meals were flavourful and interesting, without being overpowering.

Cooking the meals was especially easy. There were clear instructions on the back of the box that included diagrams and how long to microwave.

Mixing the two separated compartments (meat & sauce and then veggies & rice/pasta) was a perfect option for customizing how much flavour you’d like your meal to have!

The meals need 2 minutes to sit and simmer once out of the microwave and that was perfect for zapping the next meal so we could eat together.

I love eating my food on the hot side and found it easy to prepare these meals for my family, on a typical weeknight when we all walk in the door together – starving and ready to eat!

If I could use three words to describe the Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations, I would use: Tasty, Hot and Quick!
