Behind the Scenes Shopping Experience with #SearsBabysRoom

Sears ~ The Baby’s Room has re-vamped and has the modern mother in mind!

Recently
I was named one of Mom Central Canada’s 20 Sears – The Baby’s Room Ambassadors. I
was pretty excited to join 19 other mommy bloggers and take part in this huge
opportunity. This is no typical
ambassador program, this 6 month adventure is hands on getting both myself and our family in the store. We together cannot wait to embark on this out of box journey.

This month
I booked a “behind the scenes” guided tour and got the inside scoop with my
local Sears manager. My first impression was her excitement and confidence in
her section. She approached me with a big smile and firm hand shake, I knew our
tour would be extremely successful. She took incredible pride in the layout,
the product, and her “girls” that worked the department. She successful answered
all my questions and we talked comfortably about the recent changes that had taken
place in The Baby’s Room at
her store. I noticed the larger aisles, the racks where less cluttered which
gave me a better shopping experience. The Baby’s Room was perfectly faced, the products were labelled,
and the department was clean and clear of clutter. We browsed around all
of Sears – The Baby’s Room
5 categories. Such as…

Nursery
section (beds, change tables, décor etc.)

Travel section (car seats, etc.)

Feeding (high chair, bottles, utensils etc.)
Bath & Accessories (tubs, rings and sinks, etc.)
Gifting (rattles, layettes, etc.)

I was very impressed by how well the staff was trained in all The Baby’s Room 5 categories. I learned that the staff of Sears – The Baby’s Room go through intensive training. Such as learning DVD’s that are provided, a click on-line program, as well as hands-on training. Also the department staff are required to build and set up all baby furniture or display products for Sears – The Baby’s Room department. These ladies were ready to answers the toughest baby must have questions; from stroller to soother they were confident and prepared. My local Sears – The Baby’s Room department really gave me a warm fuzzy feeling; it was so welcoming and had everything any mother would dream of or need. If they didn’t  I was assured they can order stock in if needed.

The one
thing that stood out for me on my recent tour (besides the incredible customer
service from the knowledgeable staff) was the unique product lines that are carried. I was impressed by some of the specialty items Sears – The
Baby’s Room
 has to offer.

There
were many things that set Sears – The
Baby’s Room
apart from the local competition. But as a mama
of 4 babies who nursed, I cannot brag enough about the nursing room that Sears – The
Baby’s Room
provides for mothers. I have used it on a few
occasions and still believe every retail store is missing out on this unique opportunity to serve mother and baby. Thank you Sears for continuing to give us mother’s a
comfortable spot to nurse, feed, change our babies, or even as a quiet room
to sooth a fussy baby to sleep.

My first Sears – The
Baby’s Room
mission was a huge success, but stay tuned for
more updates and “behind the scenes” shops as our new role continues…
I
recommend you check out Sears – The
Baby’s Room
