Find Balance: Mom Retreat at Ste. Anne’s Spa in Grafton Ontario
In the middle of September joined by my girls Andrea, Maya, Renee and Sonya we carved out some time for much-needed mom retreat at Ste. Anne’s Spa in Ontario. Keep reading to find out why I’ve been daydreaming about Ste. Anne’s Spa since and how you can find balance in a quick mom retreat.
Find Balance: Mom Retreat at Ste. Anne’s Spa in Grafton Ontario
I’ll be honest; this was my first time at Ste. Anne’s Spa. Yes, I’ve dreamed about going, I’ve received their emails for years now, why did I wait so long? Perhaps it was because I couldn’t justify the time away from my family or the money spent on myself?
I know I’m not the only mother thinking these things.
Let me tell you I was wrong on all accounts, Ste. Anne’s Spa is dreamy and everything you deserve when booking a spa getaway. I finally understand why it’s been awarded numerous awards as one of Canada’s top spas. I finally see the importance of spending money and time on myself as a woman and finding a way to self-reg our busy life.
Find Balance: Say “YES” To You!
Let’s start by saying “yes” to you and why you need to invest in yourself.
I’ve been on a considerable journey for years on self-discovery. Saying “no” to the things that are not going to bring me to meet my goals. One would think that maybe taking off with a group of moms wouldn’t achieve my purposes since it takes me away from my family. And yes, perhaps I would have considered that years prior but that is wrong. Taking off with a group of moms gives you time to reflect, giggle, resonate with moms who know exactly what you’re feeling. By focusing on you as a woman, you will be a better mom and wife to those who need the very best of you.
“It takes courage to say YES to REST and PLAY in a culture where exhaustion is seen as a status symbol.” – Brene Brown
Find Balance: Prepare To Unwind
On the long winding road driving into Ste. Anne’s Spa I had to pull over and take in the signs along the route. Prepare to unwind. I knew I was here to do just that but in a life that is so demanding could I completely relax?
YES, we can!
Yield to your inner self is easier said than done. But the moment I arrived at Ste. Anne’s Spa I found a calmness within that is extremely hard to explain.
Dress Code:
Ste. Anne’s Signature Robe
The moment I walked into the main inn at Ste. Anne’s Spa, the staff greeted me with a Ste. Anne’s signature robe and I was told robes are the choices for most wellness seekers. A quick look around and I was feeling overdressed, even the patrons at breakfast were wearing white robes. Never have I walked into a resort and felt overdress; there is a first for everything. The fact that we all are equal at Ste. Anne’s finding peace and a way to unwind through the energy around us spoke to my soul. I couldn’t wait to get into my Ste. Anne’s Signature Robe with these beauty’s.
Ste. Anne’s Accommodations:
Casa Del Sol Cottage
We stayed at Casa Del Sol cottage which can comfortably sleep, 4-10 people. Casa Del Sol cottage is enormous, overlooking rolling hills and country fields with nothing but fresh air in between. I spent the most beautiful evening under the stars in our hot tub at Casa Del Sol.
Look at that view.
You can find the picture by picture details about Ste. Anne’s Casa Del Sol Cottage here. Trust me Casa Del Sol is stunning and a quick walk to the main inn. You will not be disappointed in renting out this whole cottage for your next mom’s retreat or group getaway at Ste. Anne’s. Check out the view from the two-minute walk from our cottage to the Main Inn. Stunning.
Ste. Anne’s All-inclusive Overnight Package
Ste. Anne’s has many packages that can meet your needs, and the package we experienced was their all-inclusive overnight package. Which includes: four-diamond accommodation, four-course dinner, breakfast, three-course lunch, an afternoon tea. The use of Ste. Anne’s signature robes and a $120 spa credit. As well as a wellness allowance and complete use of the Ste. Anne’s facilities.
Dining With A Restricted Diet at Ste. Anne’s Spa
Since I have sensitivities to both eggs and cows dairy, I always joke that I’m a vegan who eats meat. These sensitivities make dining out tough, especially for a foodie like me. I’m so pleased to tell you that Ste. Anne’s Spa caters to gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and vegans. If you’re like me and eat a restricted diet, you know the struggle to dine out is real.
Most restaurants say they cater to you, but who wants salad and fruit bowl every time you dine out? Not me.
Ste. Anne’s Spa impressed me. I got this fancy card with my intolerance front and center.
Ste. Anne’s makes creamy vegan dressings, vegan whip cream, vegan cheeses; the best part is they have VEGAN DESSERT, not just a fruit cup!
Coconut-based ice cream in a few flavors and this most delicious vegan chocolate tart. Which hands down in the best vegan dessert I’ve ever tasted at any restaurant.
Well done Ste. Anne’s for making my inner vegan so happy!
FACT- When your to-do list is wide open…. you find balance.
You spend a glorious afternoon floating in the pool in quiet whispers under the suns rays.
You take a quiet stroll through walking trails and perch upon a Muskoka chair, and enjoy deep conversation just when you need a soul to soul connection.
Before you’re whisked away on the most relaxing spa treatment; you sip tea and piece together a puzzle in the spa waiting room with girlfriends.
You giggle over the most delicious meal in your Ste. Anne’s signature robe.
You find Zen in the quiet room relaxing in a not-average massage chair. Unlike anything I’ve ever sat in before I came back to the quiet place a few times during our stay.
And.
You find a lovely spot in the gardens with a friend. Your radiant glow shines through, because you found balance; just when you needed it most.
“During our mom retreat we didn’t have the time to cover off all the facilities included in our stay. There is so much more to see, do, taste and experience at Ste. Anne’s Spa. I feel so grateful and left feeling recharged. I left ready to take on family, business and everything set in my way. I left with a strong spiritual connection to my soul and a strong urge to do it all over again.”
Where is Ste. Anne’s Spa located?
Just under 1 hour 15 minutes from City of Kawartha Lakes. Over 1.5 hours from Toronto. 17 minutes from Coburg, Ontario just off highway 401.
No matter what direction you’re coming from, trust me it’s worth the drive – book it!
