Disney Cruise Line Sails to Alaska’s Icy Strait Point and Hubbard Glacier

Disney Cruise Line Sails to Alaska’s Icy Strait Point and Hubbard Glacier

It’s been a long life dream of ours to take an Alaska Cruise. Just think about the stunning backdrops, mountains, ice caps and extraordinary wild life you would have the chance to witness playing.

Little did I know, that cruise doesn’t need to be just a cruise. Paired with the top notch magic from Disney Cruise Line, these already dramatic locations are cranked up 100% when you add Mickey Mouse spectacular and all his friends.

Ahoy Alaska!

In 2017, Disney Cruise Line will sail on new itineraries and to new ports, including first-time visits to new destinations in Alaska’s Icy Strait Point and Hubbard Glacier.

These dramatic locations are part of  a new nine-night itinerary on the Disney Wonder. Departing from Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 24, 2017, this itinerary also sails to Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Tracy Arm Fjord.

The Disney Wonder cruise ship sails past glaciers in Tracy Arm Fjord as part of its Alaska itinerary. Nestled between 3,000-foot high granite walls, the narrow, twisting Tracy Arm Fjord weaves through the Tongass National Forest for roughly 35 miles. (Diana Zalucky, photographer)

Once You’re Quay!

There is no shortage of adventure on the shores of Icy Strait Point Alaska. Nature adventureist like us have a chance to zip line on one of the longest and highest zip lines in the world!

I will do it if you will!

Nearby, Glacier Bay National Park is a spectacular highlight of Alaska’s Inside Passage and a UNESCO World Heritage Site a must see during the cruise. Another highlight of this cruise is seeing Hubbard Glacier, the largest and most active tidewater glacier in North America. I am sure pictures won’t do justice as you witness the extraordinary blue hues and immense beauty, this spectacular glacier is more than six miles wide where it meets the ocean.

On top of all that the Disney Wonder offers; fine dining, shopping, Disney Magic and more on board activities.

Although we are Landlubber’s (persons who have not been to sea on a ship) dreams do come true!
