Tis’ the Season for an Evening of Food, Friends & Fun at the Fisher Price Showroom
There are events in your life that stand out above the rest. Sometimes these events measure your happiness, they measure your connection with family and friends, perhaps they measure your success but when they happen you feel the anticipation leading up to them with pure excitement, in those moments you know life is beautiful. I enjoyed one of those events this weekend, when I was invited with a handful of bloggers to attend an exclusive event at Listen to Lena’s home. It is not often us bloggers get a chance to gather and really connect off-line, but when we do it is like seeing old friends.
Since this season is all about enjoying fabulous food, deep belly laughs, gift giving and time with family and friends it was so natural to take part in an event focused on all of the above with a twist of heritage we all enjoyed as children and continue to enjoy with our children.
I joked on-line that I was attending a play-date without the kids. When the topic of conversation is a company that has a legacy of high quality toys and has classic brands we attract to, having no kids on hand to play with wasn’t a worry at all. This evening was a night with great friends, enjoying fabulous food, engaging in woman-woman conversation and a sneak peek into this season must have Fisher Price toys.
Lisa from Growing Your Baby demonstrated the Fisher Price Woodland Friends Space Saver Jumperoo to the group. The feature that caught all our attention was the fact that it folds down and can be stored behind the couch when not in use. We all know that babies come with a lot of bulky furniture; this is a feature any mother would appreciate under the tree.
During the party we were tweeting with the hashtag #fpshowroom and followers that engaged with us on Twitter had a change to win on of my favourite Fisher Price Holiday Toys – Smart Stages Chair. I reviewed the Smart Stages Chair earlier this season and I love the fact the new technology Fisher Price is implementing in their toys can grow with the child. This is a must have for any little ones on your nice list this season.
Lena’s home was decorated beautifully; every detail was placed with prefect precision. The bronze, gold and silver tree in the kitchen was memorizing, looking like something I have seen in a magazine. Lena is very talented for much more than her writing skills we read daily on-line. She lightens up any room with her smile, her kind heart and open arms.
No party would be complete without great food and drinks to cheer with throughout the night.
The evening was catered by L-eat Catering, they were extremely professional and the food was deivine. Hors d’oeuvre like Tuna Tartare, Lobster brie on brioche got my taste buds dancing and ready for the main course.
Service was top notch before my drink was even gone I would be replaced with a new one. It is service like that, that stands out above the rest. Thank you!
Although we did a lot of talking, laughing and connecting – in real life.
We wouldn’t be called social media bloggers if we didn’t share it all with the world.
Before the night was completed, Lena drew everyone’s name and we all went home with two Fisher Price Holiday Toys or Baby Gear to gift or donate to a charity. I picked the “My Little Snugabunny Cradle’n Swing” which I will be taking over to our local pregnancy center. Where a new mother in need will be blessed with kindness this season.
The evening was beautifully put together, words cannot thank Lena enough for her hospitably and opening her doors to me and this incredible group of bloggers. As busy moms enjoying some me time with great food, laughs and friendship is something we need to do every so often.
Do you have any events coming up this season that you are building up anticipation for?
Thank you for reading In R Dream!
What a fun night! I have no fun nights coming up 🙁 I don’t even have any New Year’s Eve plans.
This looked like such a fun night! So great of Lena to have you all over. The new Fisher-Price products look great. I know many little babies will love receiving them this Christmas. It’s great that you received products to donate to someone in need. That is the real meaning of Christmas isn’t it?
PS – To answer your question, we are hosting a kid-friendly New Years eve party at our house. I can’t wait!
I have a cookie exchange that I am going to tonight. On another note, it is too funny the three headed lamp that she has in her living room is the one that I am trying to convince my client to buy. Looks so good.
Recently I haven’t had any cookie exchanges in my circle but they are so fun! That is a beautiful piece Margarita!
It’s so nice to connect offline, we do so much online connecting we forget about the human part of it. It looks like you all had such a lovely time .
I bought the chair for Bella for either Christmas or her birthday (two days apart) got a great deal off Amazon and can’t wait to watch her enjoy playing with it!
That is awesome Aimee, Christmas will be magical!
How fun! I love fisher price. They always have great products.
They are a very historic brand!
That looks like so much fun! I see so many familiar faces there! 🙂 Sounds like a lovely event & I’m right with you, Lena’s decorations are gorgeous! Glad you all had such a fun night with great products to discuss! 🙂
It was wonderful to spend an evening with you, and thank you for the kind feedback! I hope this becomes an annual tradition 🙂
