Roasted Peach Baked Ham Recipe: Comfort Food in Style
Welcoming Comfort
With the changing leaves and temperature we all steer closer to comfort food to keep us warm and fill our bellies. Especially this time of year when the nights are cool but we hold off on building a fire or turning on the furnace. A few weeks ago I baked the most scrumptious baked ham recipe. I was inspired by the peaches that were over ripe in the fridge, the rosemary and thyme that I had an abundance of in my garden.
If you know my cooking style it is a little here, a pinch there and a master piece is born. I have a hard time following a recipe start to finish and I never write down my own recipes. That is a struggle I have when it comes to sharing my recipes with you, it challenges me to write down my recipe. Besides being a mother and writer, cooking is my other passion. So my recipes maybe vag but that is how I cook, without a recipe!
Roasted Peach Baked Ham
- Your favorite pre-cooked ham
- Rosemary & Thyme springs left whole
- Red onion chopped rustic
- Garlic chopped rustic
- Fresh grated ginger
- 4 or 5 peaches chopped rustic – you can use apples or pineapple as well.
- Splash of white wine – than pour yourself a glass.
- Mustard to coat the ham
- A pinch of salt & pepper
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
Add all the ingredients to your Circulon Prime Double Roaster and bake-off in your pre-heated oven for 1 hour or so at 350. You can cook it longer at a lower temperature if you like, because your ham is pre-cooked you really are only marring the flavors.
Once your ham is done, let it sit covered in your Circulon Prime Double Roaster to rest. This is the most important part to cooking your comfort foods and meat. They require time to rest and allow the juices to settle, before you cut and serve.
I paired this dish with roasted garlic potatoes and fresh beans from the garden.
Cooking in Style
A kitchen is the heart of the home, to me it needs to reflect my personality and be filled with all the things I love. My kitchen is where I invest in quality items that will grow with my family and last a really long time. Those items need to make me smile and my heart sing, that happens when they boost the colour red! There is something about red accessories in my kitchen that makes me giddy like a school girl. I cannot help but to add anything red to my kitchen dream list.
When Circulon Canada reached out to me about their line new Fall 2014 line in Canadian Tire stores across Canada, I got real excited to share this launch with you because they have a whole red line up called Circulon Prime Red Non-Stick cookware.
Circulon Prime Double Roaster
Apart from looking the part in my kitchen, the Circulon Prime Double Roaster also makes clean-up a breeze. I can just wipe it out with a damp cloth, rinse and move on with my night. No more soaking, scrubbing, and repeating the process. That is exactly what I did after slow roasting baked ham in the recipe above. Since this is the Circulon Prime brands promise I am confident in the years to come they will keep their word.
Circulon Prime Double Roaster is a two in one roaster. The Circulon Prime Double Roaster can be used as one unit to cover your roasting meat or as two separate roasting pans for larger dinners. Since I am feeding a family of six I have already cooked plenty of comfort meals in the Circulon Prime Double Roaster using this 2 in 1 feature.
” As a busy mom of four children, I desire quality pieces that make my routine easier. With a brand promise that states “We stand by our guarantee that food will not stick!” I know my nights just got a whole lot easier. Thanks Circulon Prime for making a cookware line that wipes out without soaking, scrubbing and repeating. Because I really rather be enjoying my time with my family than cleaning the pots and pans. ”
Next on my Circulon Prime must have list, the covered straining stockpot with locking lid which saves me washing a strainer, plus I love the idea of a covered jumbo cooker for my big family of six, one pot cooking is my idea of dinner.

this looks fantastic and is definitely in my direction with regard to taste. I love a good stew done in my slow cooker or goulash, though my son isn’t keen on goulash out of the slow cooker.
