Welcoming Routine: Back to the Basic Netflix #StreamTeam
Routine is Back
Looking out the window I see the beauty of nature adding those special touches to my maple tree, fall is here. Off at school our little children are engaged into deep conversation about the why’s, the who’s and getting hands on in learning. Daddy is off at work building our business. Mama is writing lists, filling out paperwork and cooking up comfort food for our bellies. Summer is only a memory today and we are welcoming routine back into our fall days ahead.
Back to the Basics
After our long drawn out days, getting back to the basics we all need a little time to veg out and wind down. That is where Netflix comes into play. Well mama is cooking after the kids bags are unpacked, hands washed, homework done, before dinner bring back the basics and snuggling on the couch watching some educational T.V is okay.
Some of our favorite education kids shows on Netflix
- Monster Math Squad
- Curious George
- Super Why!
- LeapFrog: Numbers Ahoy – The whole LeapFrog series has my attention. From learning letters, how to count and letter sounds, this series is always my top option for the kids to watch. The best part is when they start to sing the songs and really grasp letter and number recognition.
When it is mama and daddy’s turn to sit down for a snuggle we like to do it to shows that we can talk about along the way.
Some of our family picks from Netflix
- Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax
- Radio
- The Pursuit of Happyness
- The Karate Kid – Since our children take Kung Fu this family movie on Netflix always grabs our attention. Speaking about the discipline and hard work it takes to reach those goals are very eye opening for little kids.
How are you bringing your family back to the basics after summer?
