Ditching His Worn Out Notebook for a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Review
Personal Management System
I am sure you have heard of the saying “make your list check it twice.” I wish I was the one checking my lists and living in a dream of organization in all aspects of life. Trust me I am working hard on those two points but my husband is living them in full force.
For the last few years my entrepreneur husband has always had his little black worn out notebook and pen in his pocket, even on date night’s he pulls it out. It was never far from this reach for a quick note or brain storm.
Fast forward the last two months and my business man has slowly ditched his little black notebook to the side for a Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
This smart phone has been on his wish list since its first launch in 2011. Over the last few years the Samsung Galaxy Note 3‘s newest released introduces more “premium” design with a plastic leather backing prefect for a mix of class. Plus a 5.7 inches (140 mm) 1080p display that still fit into his dress shirt pocket, but allows for quick effortless reads for the fast pace business world.
Modernized
It all was a learning curve for him and really tested his routine but I am happy to say his old notebook is out of sight and he is fully using his new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to its full extent.
Picking up a new device is always a learning curve even for the most technical. I recently was happy to learn about TELUS Learning Centres which is a great idea for all TELUS customers to get a real feel and comfort about this feature-packed device. Trained experts will work with customers in 1:1 and group settings both are great options to teach you the ins and outs of your new device.
Impressive
The Note 3 packs the power and functionality of a personal computer, but fits nicely in the palm of your hand and over-sized pockets. It’s the ultimate companion for takin’ care of business and tackling life’s many challenges while you’re on-the-go.
Just a quick peek at a few of the Note 3’s impressive features…
- A 5.7”, full HD screen – everything looks better on the Note 3, from movies to web content.
- Multi-Window, enabling you to open two apps at once, or divide the screen in half to use the same app simultaneously.
- S Pen Air Command allows you to perform a variety of tasks by simply hovering over the screen and pressing the button that’s built right into the pen.
- A 13MP rear-facing camera with 4K video recording (twice the resolution of 1080p HD)!
- A bigger, longer lasting battery to keep it running without the need for a midday boost.
- A beautiful design, with leather-like backing and elegant custom metal finish, coming together in a thin and light package.
And these only scratch the surface: you can check out some of the Note 3’s other impressive features and specs here.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Review
A few months back I wrote a fantastic review of my Samsung Galaxy S4 I personally didn’t think a smart phone could get any better. It seemed to meet all my needs and I have been head over heels for it since. That was of course until I got to play around with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 of my husbands. I thought the bigger size screen would really be a downfall to me, too big and clunky to hold.
I was wrong.
It limits me in no way, it actually makes my viewing experience much more enjoyable. It does everything my S4 does but more. The S Pen Air Command has really had my attention. With options like Scrapbooker and screen writer it makes day-to-day exploring on the web an improvement from bookmarks. I can look back and see images of my car shopping list or favorite travel destinations and file them away in my scrapbooker with my hand written notes on each page. That is a feature I can really see myself using.
Plus the S Pen Air Command is great for those long road trips with the kids and your box of entertainment has run dry. Miss C was playing around and wrote a cute little note for us to hold on to forever.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has won the heart of my organized business man, it is not far from his pocket or right hand. It has changed his experience of being connected in a huge way. His notes, emails and quick searches are always at the tip of his fingers. When you running a business and juggling a big family having a reliable smart phone that makes all your moves smooth, is extremely important in your overall success. Next on his wish list… to pair his Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with the Samsung Galaxy GEAR 2 for stemless communication!

What was your first phone?
Thanks for reading In R Dream!
A great review, sounds like a phone for me 🙂
I have heard some great things about the Galaxy Note 3. As soon as my contract comes up for renewal I plan on getting one. Thanks for sharing your review.
I have this phone too and LOVE it! There is so much more you can do with the Note 3 that you just don’t get in any other phone! It’s like the best of the phone world, the best of the tablet world, and a bunch of other fun goodies you’ve always wanted all put together in one device!
Kristy you are so right, it is the best phone in the world 🙂
I think I got my first phone in the 1995. Wow, I am dating myself. It was a Motorola and classic gray. And weight 25 lbs.
My first phone was one of those car bag phones, lol. It was so big too. I wish I could have kept it just to show my kids one day what we use to use. I remember growing up were one of the first families around to have a phone in our car. I’ve heard great things about the Galaxy Note 3, and your post confirms it.
Could you imagine showing that to your kids, LOL

We never had one of those, but I would love to see one today!
My first phone looked like a brick with numbers on it.
Although I’ve upgraded along the way, the best phone I ever had was a Treo. Heck I’d take that over an iPhone any day!
We are Samsung fans too but the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sounds very impressive. I have heard nothing but great things about the Galaxy Note 3 and by the way that old phone listed above I still have lmbo!
We have been Samsung Galaxy fans for a long time. Love the apps and love how easy it is to use.
Oh my, my first cellphone? Wow that was a long time ago…I do remember it was a little Nokia and super tiny, They’ve come such a long way eh?
I think that was my first one too Natalie. They have came along way, I couldn’t walk out the door with mine now 🙂
hmm this is interesting.. I bet it would be great for commuters as well, the large screen would let you do more without carrying around a lap top
That looks like my first phone up there! I’d love a fancy new phone like that Galaxy.
My first phone looks like a disposable phone that people use once and throw out!! This looks like a great product!
