Dinner Party Experience: Cooking with Cutco #CookingwithCutco
Power of the word.
Something I thought I learnt many years ago was the importance of a quality knife in my kitchen. With confidence we have invested in what we believed were “great” knifes. That all changed once I owned my first Cutco. All I had was an over priced piece of metal that once its time was done, the trash can was it’s destiny. Cutco is now on my radar and I could talk forever to friends and family, but without actually holding and chopping with a Cutco knife you will never truly understand what power the word “Cutco” holds in your kitchen.
Chop, chop.
Last Fall Cutco launched a new division called “Cooking with Cutco”. I call it Pamper Chef meets Epicure but with sharp knives, hands-on learning and a full dinner menu. Cooking with Cutco is an opportunity for hostess and guests to get hands on experience of quality knives. Together we chop, cook. learn and eat. The experience is very unique to any home party I have ever hosted. Everyone was involved in preparing dinner and everyone had a chance to chop with their pick of Cutco. Which was a great opportunity to learn that the pairing knife is not the best pick for dicing carrots. Rather the petite chef will do the job right.
It was a very interactive evening, the guest were asking questions and learning along the way. I choose to invite couples as I felt it would give the couples a chance to enjoy a dinner night out without the children, plus with both sides falling in love with Cutco it would be easier to toss those made from china metals to the curb.
What guest are saying…
Cindy and I just wanted to say thank you for inviting us to your “ In R Dream” Cutco party. You and Darryl were great hosts and we enjoyed the evening thoroughly. We found the presentation of the product thural. The guest actually cooking and preparing the meal was a great idea and very well done by making the presentation informative and kind of fun with the interaction of all of us. The presenter Linda Nusca was very knowledgeable on the product and its uses, however what really made it enjoyable was her ability to make it fun and interesting at the same time. We have been to many such home presentation meetings were you felt pressured to buy, this was handled in a very low-key, and even though we did buy the product we did so because of the superior products of Cutco not by being pressured. We would have to say this was by the far the most enjoyable home sales presentation we have attended, well done “In R Dream” and Cutco. ~ Regards, Darrell and Cindy
I just wanted to send a special thanks to Tammy and Darryl for their Cutco. Knives event. You were both amazing hosts and not only provided an evening of fun but an informative one at that! Who knew you could do all that with a knife?! Being a Mom I can really appreciate anything that saves me time and energy, but throw in a free home cooked meal and I’m in heaven! Thanks again for a wonderful evening with friends, Sincerely, J. Godin
Merci beaucoup.
Any dinner party wouldn’t be complete without great foods and wine. I have to send a very special thank you to Cooking with Cutco for sponsoring a door prize to my guest who had to answer trivia from the night.
Michele Bosc and her family donated 4 bottles of wine from their Chateau des Charmes winery in Niagara On the Lake. I must admit that their Seven generations wine is the first wine I have ever gone back for more of. Actually I went back for more than a few glasses. Thank you Chateau des Charmes!
With protein being the key to any dinner party I was very happy to be treated to special perks from Chicken Farmers of Canada and we BBQed up enough for everyone to enjoy. Linda our rep brought some incredible Hot Mamas hot jelly to top our chicken with, which was such a treat.
Cutting edge.
We filled the night with memories, smiles, laughs, great food and company. Not to mention our love of quality products is now joined by Cutco.
Since the party I have talked to my guest and they all are equally as excited about Cutco as I am. One said every time she picks up her “old tired knives” she realizes she needs to replace them. Another cannot stop telling her family that she needs to host her own party. Another guest was talking to me how much she loved Cutco pots.
Yes Cutco is an investment and I am confident that all my guest in time will own and invest in Cutco products. The best part about Cutco is their lifetime warranty which will replace your blade. The knife in this picture is from 1950s and is in mint condition.
How can you get Cooking with Cutco?
There are many ways. You can host your own Cooking with Cutco party with your friends. Or if you like open door opportunities now is the time to join the Cooking with Cutco team. They are looking for reps all across Canada. Could this be you?
Since my introducing to Cutco they have come out with a RED line. Only available in a block I am dreaming red each time I grab a knife to chop.
Which color of Cutco would you choose?
Stay tuned for an upcoming Twitter party announcement where Cutco will be giving away hundreds of dollars in Cutco products. #CookingwithCutco
Thank you for reading In R Dream!
( Thank you to Cutco for assisting me in organizing and sponsorship towards this evening. As always opinions are my own.)
I have never tried Cutco but I have heard great things about their knives. Maybe one of these days I will have to treat myself because I do love a good knife in the kitchen.
My husband would love these. He has this thing about his kitchen knives. My counters are full of them. Maybe if he had these, I could loose the rest!
I am going to request cutco for christmas thanks for review
Looks like you had a great time! I’m hosting my event this weekend and can’t wait!!
We own a set of Cutco knives. They were a wedding gift. We love them. Such amazing knives and wish I had more of them. This looks like it was a great event. What a neat idea to showcase a great product.
What a great way to have a fun night with friends! I have a couple of cutco knives and I LOVE them. (and I have the white!)
What a great event! A good knife makes all the difference, esp. for someone like me who doesn’t know much about cooking. I’ve made a bunch of terrible knife purchases before I realized this. At least now I know better
I have never tried cutco, but have heard awesome things. I’m boring and like the plain old black knife 😉
I own black, but once I seen those red. It was love at first sight 🙂
I own one Cutco knife and it s my favorite. It is so sharp and cuts through the endless supply of tomatoes we have effortlessly!
Looks like you had a fun party!
No oozing juice, either! I love cutting tomatoes with my Cutco!
Oh, that looks like an awesome party you had there! 🙂 Nothing is better than having a great knife to get your meals prepared, love it! Have to admit, my knife handles have to be a dark brown/black for me to enjoy them for some reason, LOL.
