Adding Snail Back Into My Mail @minted
Over the years I have fallen into the routine of technology. I send text messages to say “Hi” instead of picking up the phone to call. I post pictures on Facebook sharing the growth of our children with family and friends. I have also resorted to sending invitations, Christmas cards and Birthday cards through the web. Have I become lazy? Or caught up in all the technology that I have lost the handwritten craft of penmanship.
Nothing excites me more than reaching into the mail box and pulling out a beautiful envelope, inside a ribbon card stock and raised letters that speak so beautifully, personalized to me. They make me smile and make me feel special in that moment. Even after I smile as I place my personalized snail mail in plain sight to see. With technology you lose the effects snail mail has on you.
This Christmas I have decided that I will not be allowing technology to get the best of me. Although I will be using technology to design and order my cards I will be snail mailing them to friends and family this holiday season with an old fashion stamp. I came across a site that has my attention www.minted.com where I cannot wait to pick my holiday cards this season.
What stands out to me about Minted.com is that they have community of designers that craft the beautiful pieces you can personalize and order. Their designs are unique and one of a kind pieces that will stand apart from your traditional holiday cards, invitations, birthday cards, thank you cards you name the stationary and I am confident that Minted.com has a unique design to grab your attention.
Minted.com has a huge selection of customized art work, for your office, kitchen, bedroom, nursery to fill that lonely wall you have been waiting to fill. I could easily fill a few walls in our home with some of the beautiful designs I have seen on Minted.com. I especially love that you can pick your colours, mats, sizes and personalized to your needs.
Who is joining me this Holiday Season and sending personalized snail mail to friends and family?
Be sure to check out Minted.com and follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest for ideas, discounts and inspiration.
Thank you for reading In R Dream!
I go big at Christmas time by making cards ( online ) with a family photo. I send about 50 cards in the mail to our family and friends all over the world.
Cheers.
I send some cards for Christmas and birthdays, though not nearly as much as before. I still enjoy getting mail that is good stuff and not bills so I should send that kind of mail more often too.
Very nice idea!
I have to agree that technology has made us lazy. I am the same, FB, texts and so on for sharing and sending stuff to family and friends.. However at Christmas time I always send cards through snail mail.
In the past I have tried and leave it so last minute, email will have to do. I am ahead of the game this year! Thanks for your comment! Enjoy today!
