Rain-check

There is a tradition in our home we try hard to keep, during summer months we love to bring gatherings to the back yard and that includes movie nights on the big screen. Picture a drive in movie with kids lined up on a blanket. When I received word I had the opportunity to take part in  A Turtle’s Tale 2 – Sammy Escapes From Paradise blogger campaign I sent an email and text to all our friends that went something like this:

” This Friday we are having a few friends over for an outdoor advanced screening of A Turtle’s Tale 2: Sammy’s Escape From Paradise @ 7:30pm pop corn and juice boxes. I thought it would be fun if the kids dressed in PJ’s. ” 

The vision: cute old-fashion popcorn boxes, a cooler full of juice boxes, a blanket on the ground lined with kids ( 25 to be exact ), bon-fire as the backdrop and A Turtle’s Tale 2 – Sammy Escapes From Paradise playing on the big screen projected in the night sky. It was a rain free only party because I was expecting 25 kids plus their parents, with the vision of entertaining outside. Mother nature shifted her mood and it rained all day. OK it poured and I waited. And waited. Till an hour before the guest were to arrive, it was still pouring rain. We had to give everyone a rain-check. Very disappointing. We still had a few friends from a distance and hosted them in the house out of the rain.

A Turtle’s Tale 2 – Sammy Escapes From Paradise

Have you seen A Turtle’s Tale one? Very cute and tells the story of how Sammy & Ray met. Now you don’t have to know the story line from the first movie but it is super cute too and a great start to number two.

In A Turtle’s Tale 2, Sammy & Ray find themselves trapped in The Tank, an underwater restaurant/aquarium, they must hatch a plan to escape and reunite with their grandkids Ricky & Ella.  But they’ll have to get past Big D and his dopey thugs first.  With the help of some unlikely friends, Sammy & Ray find that when you work together anything is possible!

I am very impressed when I put a movie on for my family that can teach values to my children without me going through another lecture. A movie that touches on topics that we as a society need to live by, A Turtle’s Tale 2 – Sammy Escapes From Paradise does just that. Sharing movies like this with your children’s friends makes you feel good to know everyone is on the same page. 

Dive into a Fun-Filled Adventure!

What I liked best about A Turtle’s Tale 2 – Sammy Escapes From Paradise is that it kept the attention of the whole family. The story line was real and a situation’s I could imagine happening in a real life adventure. From the birds stealing the hatchlings, to the fishermen on the boat. I am sure somewhere in the world exists a restaurant that show cases creatures from the sea. It opened my imagination and also reminded me how big and beautiful this world we live on actually is.

Although A Turtle’s Tale 2 – Sammy Escapes From Paradise is rated for ages 3-10 I advise you to sit down as a family and enjoy it together.

As for the rain-check we gave out, I will be sure to share some pictures when we actually make it happen in the upcoming month.
