Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite LIVE In Peterborough Ontario
Max & Ruby…Ruby & her little brother Max!
If your a parent of wee ones you most likely have heard or even sang that little jingle before. Back in the Fall I wrote a few articles introducing the live theater performance Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite. The stars of the show are well known in our house, as we can relate with both characters. When given the chance to see them live even I was a wee bit excited!
Nutcracker Suite
Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite surpassed all my expectations, it was nothing I imagined. In my mind I was comparing it to the character play I have seen at the mall or local fair before, it was far from that. The performance had a red carpet feel to it, Showplace Performance in Peterborough is a beautiful venue with red velour curtains, gold trim and very comfortable seating.
” My first impression as I walk in, this is much more posh then the shows we have ever seen before. Our seats were front and center and absolutely amazing, it felt like the show was personally put on for us. The whole show had my undivided attention and our little testers were on the edge of their seat as the plot thickened. The dances were beautiful and breath taking at moments as they floated across the stage. It was an show we will never forget and one I would highly suggest all go and see! “
What R Little Testers are saying…
” What I liked about Max & Ruby is when they got to go to candy land. It was a great time watching Max & Ruby with my whole family. My favorite dance was the ballerina dancing and the fall in love dance. ”
” I loved most the ginger bread dance and candy dance. I want to watch it again! That was the awesomeness day, ever! The best was sitting with my whole family. Remember when Max found the missing cookies? That was funny! ”

My daughter is hooked on the Koba shows. First one was Toopy and Binoo. She loved it so we took her to Max and Ruby. She actually cried when it was over. So guess what? Next week we are going to see Strawberry Shortcake – with special guest the Doodlebops!!! Oh man…
it’s so refreshing for the kids to see a live performance, their worlds are so filled with technology these days!
ok this is adorable but honestly I’m so glad my children are past this stage 🙂
Oh my daughter would of been beyond excited to see Max & Ruby in real life. She loves them! I’ve yet to venture to something like this, as I can barely tolerate the shows on TV but know one day I will have to break so they can experience plays & develop an appreciation for the arts beyond music and crafts.
Glad your kids had a fabulous day!!!
