Apple Wise with #SunRype { Brain Power & Apple Picking }

 Fall Apple Picking

Fall is one of my favorite seasons; I married my sweetheart on a crisp fall day, our 3rd son is a Libra plus, we have many traditions that we full fill during the fall. One of our favorite fall adventure as a family is apple picking! I love cozying up our family in our fall sweaters, boots, hats and scarves and venturing out to the local apple orchard. When we arrive jam packing a bag with hand picked apples, participating in a maze and some homemade apple treats. Our highlight is always snacking on a few of our favorite types along the way. They say “An apple a day keeps the doctor away! “We usually eat a weeks worth during our pick.

When we get home we love to bake a few pies, crisps, and if we are lucky; daddy will make his yummy apple fritters. After a weekend of picking and baking one of nature’s most versatile fruits, the excitement dies off a bit and we are left with a few apples still in the crisper the following week. I love to throw them in recipes such as this yummy recipe I found on http://www.sunrype.ca. It’s perfect for those straggling apples in the crisper, joined by the natural sweetness from SunRype Apple products. I cannot wait to give this one a try, the curry power in it has also peeked my interest.

Once apple picking season is over and our cold cellar is empty, our family turns to SunRype for some refreshing goodness while keeping the Doctor away. As a child I remember only ever drinking apple juice, still to this day it’s the #1 juice I serve my children. You have to watch because just because it says “Apple juice” doesn’t mean it’s just apples. Even as an adult I still enjoy a refreshing cold glass of Apple juice thanks to SunRype Pure Not From Concentrate Apple juice

“I really am confident it’s completely made from fresh pressed
apples.

Each time I enjoy a glass of SunRype juices I can taste
its 100% fruit goodness with each sip. It’s really a glass full
of fruit and veggies,
with all its natural goodness. “
So why do they say, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”?
Apples can improve heart condition, help prevent cancer and lower the risk of diabetes. SunRype 100% apple juices and apple-based products are a wise choice, putting your health in check!

Brain Power

This one I found extremely interesting, because recently my husband and I have been doing some research on brain activity (which is a whole other post.) The brain is far more powerful than any of us understand or know. The brain can make or break your day, from your first thought to your final drift into dreamland. It’s proven that diets rich in antioxidants will reduce some of the effects of age-related mental deterioration’s. Meaning SunRype 100% apple juices and apple-based products are rich is antioxidants that may help keep your mind sharp. (The Journal of Neuroscience, July 2002.)

Heart Health

As tudy conducted at University of California (Davis) found evidence that apple juice isn’t just for kids. In fact, the study found 100% pure apple juice can help slow natural processes leading a heart disease in adults. (Journal of medicinal Food, February 2001. More info: www.heartandstroke.ca)

  • We just went to “Apple Hill” here which is a hugely popular spot this time of year. Got some jugs of fresh apple juice!! We’re huge fans of apples and thankfully my son is too. We definitely need to go apple picking though! Haven’t done that yet!

  • I love apples! Last time I drank apple juice was a couple of days ago. We have a bottle in the fridge right now and I’m definitely going to get some now!

  • I can’t drink Apple Juice though it’s one of my favorites. Hubby loves it and like a kid always order one when we go out. Love the pics of the kids btw so so so adorable! 🙂
