Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread has a label I can read! { #Breakfast #Recipe }
I have always enjoyed eating quality foods, but since I have became a mother it’s even more important to me to have the most natural ingredients within reach for my family. I strive to shop local. Hopping from my local bakery, butcher, and the farmers market during produce season. It’s also important to me to be able to read and understand the ingredient’s on the label; it helps me make the decision if it’s going back on the shelf or in my shopping cart.
When I was introduced to Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread I was happy to recognize all the ingredients on the label such as: Real Fruits, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Concentrated White Grape Juice, Concentrated Lemon Juice, and Pectin. It’s the first fruit spread I have seen with such a clean list of ingredients, plus I understand it.
I couldn’t wait to pop the lid to taste some, of course spread on toast was the first and quickest way to taste test Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread.
My first impression was the smell when I opened the jar it was so sweet and fruity. When I dipped my knife in, it was extremely thick, which is a great for spreading on toast. It was loaded with pieces of fruit. The flavor surprised me I was assuming it was going to be a little on the sour side, but I was wrong it was extremely sweet and loaded with fruit freshness.
On Smuckers.ca I had seen some great recipes to make with the kids, but this one caught my eye because daddy and the kids love to make “thinking out of the box” pancakes on the weekends.
PB & J was a perfect recipe for them to tackle. We eat a lot of peanut butter pancakes in our house, but adding Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread to them was a first.
The finished product was yummy, even the batter was tempting to try. The kids loved the creation of adding Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread to our morning pancakes. This will not be the last breakfast recipe I snag from smuckers.ca — I was surprised by the variety of recipes to choose from. Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread also jam packed our morning breakfast with a punch of fruit.
Since having Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread in the house I have been thinking about how else I can use it, of course beside the obvious on toast. We have added it to our morning smoothies, banana, peanut butter, yogurt, almond milk, ice, flax seeds and Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread. Delicious!
I haven’t tried this one yet, but Smucker’s Simple Blends Fruit Spread would make a nice glaze for chicken or added to homemade salad dressing.
(This post compensated by Smucker’s! Thank you for the opportunity!)
I found this blog very great and I just wanna say thanks. I hope you keep up the perfect work!
Well I think I would try your pancake recipe first. Yummy.
