Let’s Change the World One Girl at a Time with Dove #CelebrateMom Contest from @DoveCanada

This post
is part of’
YummyMummyClub.ca‘s support of the Dove® Celebrate Mom Contest. I
received compensation as a thank you for my participation. This post reflects
my personal opinion about the information provided by the sponsors. You can
nominate inspiring moms here:
www.CelebrateMom.ca
.

I have shared this
before I watch what’s said around my children especially our daughter. She is
quickly catching on to how life works, and getting influenced from the sources around
her. I make a point to make sure our children know they are beautiful and
loved. We talk about how everyone is different and that’s what makes this
wonderful world so special and unique!

These statistics’ Dove has shared really
surprised me

Only 9% of Canadian girls between the ages of 10-17 are most
comfortable using the term “beautiful” to describe their looks.

“WOW” I am shocked! A positive role model
can make a world of difference; by helping a girl develop a positive
relationship with beauty you are encouraging her to achieve her full potential.
When girls feel they have a role model, they are less likely to let anxiety
about looks hold them back. I am a confident woman and I feel my confidence has
grown now that I have a daughter on my side, it’s my job as a mother to encourage and teach
her to reach her full potential, and be happy in her own skin.

I am honoured to be working along side
YummyMummyClub.ca & Dove helping spread the Dove Celebrate Mom Contest. I was invited to nominate and celebrate a mom in my life who is
making a making a difference nurturing the girls in her life through strong leadership as a role
model motivating girls to reach their full
potential.

It didn’t take to long before a new
friend quickly came to mind, she was the perfect fit for me to nominate in the
Dove Celebrate Mom Contest
The first quality that stands out when
I think of Leeanne is how big and kind her heart is. She is so generous and helpful;
she has a way of brighten up a room with her extreme interest in those who
surround her. I remember during one of our talks she mentioned that she was meant
to have girls, she is right. She has 2 amazing little girls who show respect to
others, are polite, with bright futures ahead of them and I am so happy my
little girl has such an amazing little girlfriend in her life. Watching Leeanne
get down to the girls level and help them smooth a disagreement or remind them
of their manners, gives me reassurance that my little girl is safe and in good
hands with Leeanne. She inspires, teaches, comforts & soothes her girls and
mine when she is around. Leeanne lives
life with family and friends within reach, making sure everyone is happy and
has what they need. She is making a difference in her daughters and all the
little girls in her life. She is an inspirational mom changing the world one
girl at a time!

My friend Leeanne is my nominee for Dove Celebrate Mom Contest!
