When I was asked who I would nominate, I was a bit
overwhelmed with the idea of only picking one mom. We all shine in different ways,
making each mom the perfect candidate. I know many moms in my life who I would
nominate to be Mother of the Year. I know a mother who breaks down & gives
everything to her children out of love, with only with the best intentions in
view. I know a mother who counts the stairs each time they climb them to teach her
children along the way. A mom’s who rolls on the floor with her children, and a
mom who engages them in sports & activities to inspire them in many ways. Maybe
it’s the mother who cuts cute little shapes out of cheese & fruit for
lunch; I know one of those mom’s too.

The TOP 3 I would Nominate R…
My own mother, who has put her life on hold to care,
love, and fight for my amazing sister who struggles with special needs, My mother
is her voice, she holds her hand through every hurtle she jumps. My mother has
paused her life to make the best possible one come true for my sister. Although my sister doesn’t have the
understanding to appreciate it, I hope my mother knows how much we all do. She
is doing an amazing job supporting & fighting for her best possible future.

My mother in law is another I would nominate as
mother of the year. She puts everyone in her life far ahead of her own. She is
there in a heart beat with open arms when someone falls. Her whole day is
filled with to do’s & pleasing gestures for her family. She is the first to
help & the last to leave. I have an amazing mother in law & I appreciate
how much she does for her family.

I would also nominate myself if I could. I am a
busy mama of 4 amazing children, all 21 months between them. I am their
teacher, nurse, chef, mother, best friend, & housekeeper. I spend my whole
day home with them inspiring them to learn & grow. Motherhood has brought
me to experience joy & live my life to its fullest! I am so honoured & grateful
to be a mother of 4, to watch life through the eyes of your child is an amazing
gift. I would nominate myself because I truly appreciate how amazing each
moment with my children are. Making me a perfect candidate for mother of the year.

Great picks! We all have days when we feel we could be MOTY and others when, well… not so much! We all do the best we can and that makes us all worthy of an award. 🙂
Great post and nominations! It’s so hard to pick one person, I know so many amazing moms out there and so many that do for others too.
Those are some great nominations! I love that this contest celebrates moms, as all moms are superheros in my eyes.
I nominated my girlfriend who has been such a wonderful mother to her 3 little ones.
It’s such a great initiative and so difficult to choose just one person…..
Loved this post – it would be super hard to choose for sure!
I agree it was hard to choose.
