Five tools to take your meditation practice to the next level

This post is sponsored by Sunday Citizen (now shipping to Canada.) However, the following opinions are that of my own.

If you asked me years ago if I meditated, I would say, “yep, occasionally.” All that meant was I tried, wanted to, and dreamed about being “THAT” person. Since COVID, I stepped up my mediation game. In this article, I will share five tools to take your meditation practice to the next level.

  1. The App
  2. Crystal Meditation Pillow
  3. The Softest Versailles Throw
  4. Crystal Powered Sleep Mask
  5. doTERRA Essential Oils

It hasn’t been an easy year+ for anyone, but the sum of our experience can be a win or loss, depending on what you make it. Yep, I’ve yelled, cried, had visions of running away, dreamed of travel, dreaming of better days, drank a little too much wine, ate my feelings – you get the picture. But I also worked on myself, boosted my education, built a business, read lots and owned my mediation practice.

The latter has been the game-changer for me. Since January 2021, I can be confident in saying I have meditated at least once a day, which in turn has given my body an intense craving for MORE calmness, quiet-time and mind-focused mediation.

The App

Yes, there is an app for that. The app I found that helped me the most during the beginning stage of mediation is – Calm App. I started with the “daily calm” sessions. 10 minutes a day, I gifted myself to be inspired to grow in my practice. About 3 months into “Daily Calm” meditations, I gravitated to the Insight Timer App, which is the next level meditating and I love it!

Crystal Meditation Pillow

Sure, you can start meditating without anything; that is the beauty of the practice; however, you quickly find that you’ll crave that quiet corner in your home filled with the tools that call you. The Crystal Meditation Pillow by Sunday Citizen is one of those meditation tools that you can build into your practice.

This perfect meditation pillow comes in a buttery soft washable cover. Filled with natural buckwheat

Along with having all the positive vibrations you look for in a meditation pillow, it comes mixed with pieces of amethyst and quartz, giving it the crystal power to boost your session. Plus, extra crystals and buckwheat to boost the energize of the Crystal Meditation Pillow even more.

The Softest Versailles Throw

If you’re into Body Scan Mediation or Yoga Nida sessions, you will find that the vertical position and the state of your mind bring on a chill. So when Sunday Citizen sent over the Versailles Throw – their top-selling item – I knew this throw was the newest addition to my meditation practice.

Nothing calms the mind more than being snuggled into the softest throw in a meditative state while laying your mat. If only life didn’t demand so much of me, you’d find me in this state numerous times a day.

Sunday Citizen’s woven double-yarn throws are stretchy, oversized and double as a meditation throw in my practice.

Crystal Powered Sleep Mask

Do you need a sleep mask for meditation? Nope. Does it add an extra layer when doing a Body Scan Meditation or Yoga Nida session? Yes!

Sunday Citizen’s Crystal Powered Sleep Mask has a 100% bamboo cover sprinkled inside with Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz. The thick elastic band comfortably goes around the head and doesn’t ride up.

Not only do I use this sleep mask to sleep with, but I also use it when I need a deep mediation, and I know my mind will wander a little too much.

doTERRA Essential Oils

It’s no secret, I love essential oils, and I am a doTERRA Wellness Advocate. Adding Sandlewood or lander to your mediation proactive is a lovely addition to help calm your mind.

Have you tried meditating before?
