We Give Back – Donations To Families Struggling This Season

Over the years our family has made an effort to give new gifts of toys to families in need in our community. We give back because having the opportunity fill another family’s heart, fills me with joy. Giving them hope that today’s hiccup doesn’t need to be the outcome. 

Kindness will change the world.

So instead of gift guides for the last four Christmas,’ we’ve partnered with brands we’ve collaborated with through the years to give back to our community. All donations towards our Kindness Mountain incentive goes to City of Kawartha Lakes families in need this season. It’s my wish that together we can spread joy, hope, & love this season.

As a child, I remember we received a donation care package at Christmastime. Those gifts we received meant we got to have gifts that Christmas. Every family embarks on struggles along the way. Hard times make you stronger, and they always help you realize the goodness in the world around you. Now as an adult every chance I get to spread kindness anytime of year is the calling I feel pulled to do in this lifetime. I’ve created this online community, and if I can spread good with it that’s exactly what I’ll do!

Our Fourth Annual Kindness Mountain

2017 will mark our fourth Kindness Mountain and one of my favorite collaborations of the year. This year we had 18 brands take part in helping three families have a great Christmas.

  • I love that you do this. We always help out our friend who runs a Secret Santa program by volunteering our time to sort, wrap and deliver hampers to those in need. The delivering of the hampers is our favourite part, it is great to show up to someone’s doorstep and surprise them with some food and gifts. We also sponsored a senior this year and had fun shopping for special gifts for them.

  • Oh my goodness that was a lot of stuff. Way to go! It is nice to give back. We give a few different ways – we don’t have that many toys any more. Nice of you each to make so many Happy christmases this year!!
