Martini Glass Trifle + Black Bean Brownie Recipe + FITBIT BLAZE Giveaway

A Trifle is a British dessert typically layering fruit, sponge cake which is soaked in sherry or wine, and custard. Usually topped with whipped cream. Squished in a glass container and oozing with goodness. I stir things up by turning the typical British trifle to the dark side with my favorite Black Bean Brownie Recipe.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Add the first 7 ingredients to a high-powered food processor and buzz until combined.
  3. Add 1/2 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips and pulse twice.
  4. Pour the wet mixture from the food processor into a greased 8×8 pan.
  5. Top with the Black Bean Brownie Topping ingredients.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes. I like my brownies chewy, so I pull them out when they still jiggle a bit. Add 5-minute intervals till the brownies are done to your liking.

To Make The Martini Glass Trifle

  • Once cooled layer Black Bean Brownie, raspberries, your favorite whip cream (I used homemade coconut whip cream) into your martini glass. Continue layering until your martini glass is full. Finish with a dollop of whip cream and drizzle with NESQUIK chocolate syrup.

Tip: Trifle is better when it’s been made ahead and placed in the fridge.

Extra: You’ll have plenty of Black Bean Brownies left over (this recipe makes an 8X8 tray, serving 8-10.) The leftovers can easily be done into small children sized portions and packed for school lunches with raspberries. Remember small treats for small bellies. Or freeze and duplicate the martini glass trifle layered with Black Bean Brownies for your next dinner party.
