Dirt, Frog Pee and Mud Happen! Fighting Germs & Taking #PURELL30 Challenge

Dirt, Frog Pee and Mud Happen! Fighting Germs & Taking #PURELL30 Challenge

September has arrived and for many back-to-school is underway. When I think of back-to-school a few things come to mind for me and germs is one of them. If you’ve read this post you would know I may have stepped into the crazy zone a little bit when it comes to germs.

My OCD about germs started when our children were babies and those sticky little fingers were digging into the yuckiest of places. Under the couch to eat trails of crackers that were left, picking off the back of the highchair were a cheerio was stuck, they would even dig those sticky little fingers into a mysterious holes and would eat whatever came out that looked like food. Quickly, I learnt that I cannot change the nature of my babies and toddlers but I can carry around a bottle of PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer for those sticky moments when soap and water aren’t around.

Did you know?

Scientific outcome studies provide evidence that hand hygiene, including the use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, like PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer, reduces our risk of getting sick.

Fast Forward to Today

I still carry about a bottle of PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer for those sticky moments when soap and water aren’t around. And since my family and I have made a commitment to using PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer three times per day for 30 days by taking the PURELL® 30-Day Challenge, my OCD has taken a much needed break.

Dirt, Frog Pee and Mud Happen!

With 4 children living in the country we have our share of digging deep into the dirt and we’ve even wiped a carrot off on our pants and snacked away.  These moments are when I have been thankful to have PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer by my side!

Country kids, Dirty hands,

We cannot keep our children from putting fingers in their mouth after a frog pees on their hands or an inch worm does a little dance.

However we can give our children the tools and knowledge they need by teaching them about fighting germs with a squirt of PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer.

We feel very confident that adding PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer into our routine has allowed us to feel at ease because it is helping us reduce the spread of illness-causing germs on the hands of our family and friends.

  • I try to be vigilant with hand washing and sanitizer use but this challenge will hopefully make me more aware, especially as school gets into gear again.

  • I carry some in my purse. I detest pumping gas and grocery store germs so I use it them, good clean outside dirt like inch worms bother me less.

  • Hand sanitiser sometimes comes in very handy, like in a hospital where patients are already ill and don’t need any more germs. However it can be overdone. If we don’t ever encounter germs our bodies won’t build up a defence against them – antibodies, which is vital function of our body to protect us from illness.
