Tips To Prepare For A Date Night Out

Tips To Prepare For A Date Night Out

You’ve booked your babysitter for a night on the town with your Valentine. The day’s leading up can be full of anxiety because for us busy mothers of little kids Date Night Happens or it Doesn’t. Since date nights comes so few and far between they do deserve a new outfit, shoes or at least some new make-up and a bubble bath, right?

Tis’ Night before Date Night

  1. Nothing is more important to looking your best than eating a well-balanced meal free of any food sensitivities you may have. Since I have personally cut my food sensitivities out of my diet my bloat is gone and my glow is in full force. Did you know milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, soy, wheat and shellfish – cause 90 percent of all food allergies?
  2. Drinking plenty of water. Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don’t have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired. Recently I have tripled my water intake and my headaches have disappeared and I finally have a new Love of my Health.
  3. Benefits of Epsom salts, Dr Teal's epsom Salts, Stress reliever, Sleep booster Reduce your stress. Magnesium is a natural stress reliever and energy booster. It helps produce a chemical in the brain called serotonin, which works to elevate your mood and increases your ability to make it through the day by directing energy production in the cells. By lowering both adrenaline levels and blood pressure, magnesium also reduces irritability and fosters relaxation. As a result, your concentration sharpens, and you can finally get the good night’s sleep your body craves! For me when I need a “mommy moment” I take a long warm bath filled with Epsom Salts. Dr Teal’s Epsom Salts are the perfect addition to your bath the night before your big date. (Do not use it the day of – I hit my bed and never woke up after my long peaceful bath.)
  4. Get a good night’s sleep. I cannot stress enough about the importance of having a good night’s sleep. In our house it is extremely important to me that everyone has dark rooms and all alarm clock lights are taped off with electrical tape. Ever since watching “Lights Out” on the Natural of Things I have come to respect the importance of sleep. Plus adding Dr Teal’s Epsom Salts to your bath, trust me you will be sleeping like a baby in no time.

  • Wow! This is just good. I really like these tips, especially the nail color. There are a lot of things we need to consider before going for a date night. It includes apparels, food, exercise, cosmetics etc. It is better to have a date night after having a drive with your partner. This will help you to get relaxed. Keep your body fresh by having a good bath. Deodorants will work great. You can have a small work out at evening that helps you to warm up your body and mind. These are the tips used by me when having date night with my partner. Some of these are suggested by premier introductions in Toronto.

  • OH i love the Epsom Salts!! that work wonders. Hubby and I have not had a date night since our second girl arrived. Basically 6 months. But my mom suggested she come over and look after our girls so we can go out for Valentines Day. thought that was so sweet since we have never been out for Valentines Day. So i will be getting prepared with shower, blow drying my hair, straightening it, finally doing my make up and probably wearing the same outfit i always wear out because it is the only thing that fits me lol

    • Kristen that sounds so nice. Did you make it out for Valentine’s Day? When it’s been a while there is nothing more exciting than the prep work. Hope you made a great night out of it!

  • Wow, that is a lot of prep!
My prep is simple: clothes/makeup, sitter …gone.
I do love Epsom salts in a fall or winter bath.

  • Love your tips and ideas…. if I only knew wth a ‘date night’ was…

We now have what i call “date moments”.. you know..when you suddenly realize your alone together in the car… or the children just all happen to be off doing something somewhere at the same time.. those are ‘power dates’.. short and sweet lol

  • Date night? What is this you speak of LOL! We used to go out on date nights but that was before Bella (child #3) came along. We rarely go out anymore, can’t recall the last time we went out sans kids to be honest. Maybe I need to book a date night cause this mamma could use some alone time … with or without hubby haha!

    • Oh Aimee I know, eh? I will have to be honest now that our fourth is almost 4 we are finally getting out. It’s much easier when they are a bit older. I hope you get that date night in, we all need it!
